Ross island is less than a half-hour boat ride from Port Blair.
In the British era, Ross island was home to some grand residences. What exist now are the remains of the old bungalows and post offices, some of whose walls are amazingly entwined with the trees growing next to them.
Greenery and deer were in plenty on the island.
